After nearly two months of fantastic rugby and the most colourful and passionate crowds imaginable, it's all over for another four years. Leaving all the rugby nuts out there with four years to wait and save up for the next tournament in New Zealand. More

France - Argentina (10-34): Au revoir

What a pity for the masses of French fans congregated in around the historic Parc de Princes.

Having undoubtedly delivered the best World Cup ever from the point of view of the stadia and support, the team once again fluffed their lines in the face of their nemesis, Argentina. More

Two days to go…

Here in France, everybody fell violently back on earth after the loss against England. Les Bleus could have avoided this disappointment by loosing to the All-Blacks one week earlier. More

Towards a new type of rugby

The 2007 Rugby World Cup marks a real evolution in rugby. The English forwards pushed their team into the final, the Springboks athletes trashed their opponents’ defense thanks to their power. The pool games could have hinted that this power, typical of Southern Hemisphere rugby, was the key for success.

France - New Zealand (20-18): INCROYABLE!!!

After 30 minutes at the Millennium stadium, 50% of the French public, who thought their team could pull off an upset before the match, must have felt rather foolish.

That opening period saw the All blacks at their very best. Running the ball at pace, with fantastic angles, and ripping the French to pieces at every opportunity. More

Australia - England (10-12): Wooooo Hooooo

What a way to get the quarter-finals underway, with a replay of the final from four years ago. Of course this time it was the Wallabies that were the favourites to prevail, but how wrong were the bookies this time around. More

Pool A/ South Africa - USA (64-15): Remember my name

I was watching the final game of the group stages tonight, and I think a new star may have been born.

Takudzwa Ngwenya, remember that name.

The Americans were easily out-gunned in this match by the Springboks, but there was one moment of magic that will long be remembered by those in the audience. More
